Cold and colder

Well today was the day.  Took down the Christmas decorations and time to buckle down for the cold. The amaryllis is still not in bloom and the weatherman says we'll be lucky to reach 10F next week. Woo hoo! Let's hear it for spring!
On the knitting front, I'm all excited about my swaps I'm participating in on Ravelry. Went shopping for some ideas and treats and can't wait to start sending some cool stuff off to my secret partners. I'm still working on the Jyri scarf from Norah Gaughan that was supposed to be done in time to send to my DS out East at Christmas. Hopefully I can get it done tonight while watching the NFL playoffs.  I'll post pictures once it's done.

Tuesday muse

Spent the day working and dreaming about my lovely new shawl WIP. Started the Beginner Triangle from Gathering of Lace at Meg Swansen's knitting camp. Working in Sasketili yarn in aquamarine. Great drape and am so happy with the color! Hoping to have it done by our S. American cruise this fall. Ah yes, another deadline. Didn't I just leave work? It's all good as my friend Hector always points out. Sorry no pics yet but as soon as I figure out how I will post. Well off to pop some popcorn. That cup of Starbucks Cafe Verona sounds good too..
